New Photography Department at Metropolitan Center for Visual Arts
The Metropolitan Center for the Visual Arts ("VisArts Center") in Rockville now has a Photography Department. They not only offer courses pertaining to photography (e.g., Photoshop, Studio Lighting, Traditional Black and White Photographs, Platinum/Palladium Printing, Van Dyke Printing, Cyanotype Printing, etc.), they also have a Digital Lab with 13 Mac computers equipped with Adobe CS 3 programs, scanners, and printers, as well as a community darkroom and a professional portrait studio available for use by the public (by appointment and at a cost, of course) .
