CHANGE IN PLANS FOR APRIL 20, 2019 FIELD TRIP:

--Winterthur visit is CANCELLED.

--The trip to Longwood Gardens has time schedule changes.

Plans for the Sat., April 20 field trip are changed due to the strong thunderstorms and heavy rains being forecast late into Friday night, as well as showers continuing into Sat. morning.

The flowers at Winterthur will not have had a chance to recover by first thing Sat. morning and walking around in the rain is not my idea of fun!

So, we will go directly to Longwood Gardens at 1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square, PA,19348, meeting in the Visitor Center at 10:00 a.m., checking out the photography exhibit of spring blooms, getting tripod passes that will enable us to photograph with tripods inside the four acres of greenhouses until noon, then heading over to the greenhouses.

Meet for lunch at 12:30 in the Longwood Gardens Cafeteria.

Once the sun comes out, we can watch shows of the newly renovated fountains, and explore the grounds.

Longwood closes at 6:00 p.m.
