The Bowie-Crofton Camera Club has been serving photography enthusiast since 1980. The membership of B-CCC demonstrates a wide range of skill levels, interests and experiences. Each year's schedule features guests who cover topics that are educational and entertaining for everyone from the novice photographer to the seasoned professional.
This is a club that does things. We meet four Monday evenings each month, September through May, for competitions, lectures, demonstrations and discussions. We conduct workshops, go on fun-filled field trips and publish an informative, award-winning newsletter.
The first Monday of the month features the Competition. Skilled judges constructively critique each entry so you can learn what is good and what can be improved.
The second Monday of the month is our Photo Talk, where a photographic subject is explored and competition images are discussed without the judge’s presence.
The third Monday of the month is our Program meeting, which features a wide variety of guests who share their knowledge and experience.
The fourth Monday of the month is the How-To meeting, where experts introduce you to a broad range of photographic techniques to enhance your skills.
Many weekends you can join informal Field Trips for on-the-spot photographic experiences, camaraderie and all-round good fun.
To serve and enhance the photographic interests of members who desire to share and learn from their own and each other's personal photographic experiences and those of invited guests, speakers and judges.
To provide a forum for exposure to photographic media and techniques, from basic to advanced, for artistic pleasure and competitive challenge.
To accomplish members' goals through meetings, discussions, special events, and competitions, both intra-club and national.
